The dinner annually benefits HAVEN, Oakland County’s center for the prevention and treatment of domestic violence and sexual assault. The dinner has raised more than $2.5 million for HAVEN over the last 24 years.

DETROIT LIONS AWARD GRANT TO CITY YEAR DETROIT

DETROITThe Detroit Lions and City Year Detroit today announced the awarding of a $100,000 grant to fund a City Year Detroit team for the 2018-2019 school year at Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary-Middle School in Detroit. Detroit Lions President Rod Wood has also joined City Year Detroit’s executive board.

DETROIT - The Detroit Lions, along with the NFL Foundation, have awarded the Detroit Police Athletic League (PAL) grants totaling $750,000 over the course of five years to aid in the completion of their new headquarters and athletic facilities at ‘The Corner Ballpark,’ otherwise known as Tiger Stadium and former home of both the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers.
