Detroit Lions today announced that several of their Day 3 selections for the 2018 NFL Draft will be made from the Comerica Gridiron Club at Ford Field. Presented by the Southeast Michigan Ford Dealers for the second consecutive year, Detroit Lions Legends and Cheerleaders will be on-hand to celebrate the 2018 Draft selections with fifty winners in the Road To The Draft sweepstakes. This event is open only to sweepstakes winners.
Across the NFL, clubs are making Rounds 4 to 6 picks at locations around the world, including military bases, state landmarks, and major attractions. For the second straight year, Round 6 will be youth football-themed. Though the Lions do not currently have a Round 6 pick, the Cabrini Monarchs youth football and cheerleading program will be assisting Lomas Brown, Herman Moore, Jason Hanson and Cory Schlesinger with picks 4 and 5 throughout the afternoon.
“Partnering with Southeast Michigan Ford Dealers for the Road To The Draft celebration at the Comerica Gridiron Club is a great opportunity to bring our partner and their contest winners directly into the action,” said Detroit Lions Vice President of Partnerships Bill Hawker. “It’s a newly renovated space we are really proud of at Ford Field. We can’t wait to host the Cabrini youth football program, Lions Legends and Cheerleaders, along with many lucky winners, this Saturday.”
The 2018 NFL Draft kicks off with the first round Thursday, April 26 at 8:00 PM ET, followed by Rounds 2-3 Friday, April 27 at 7:00 PM ET, and Rounds 4-7 Saturday, April 28 at 12:00 PM ET from AT&T Stadium.
